Nurul Razimah

Café owner, Chow Kit

I had been running my café for four years without ever really sitting down to look at the numbers properly. The First Light Review was the first time someone helped me see where the money was actually going. The written summary was clear and I have referred back to it several times since.

Krishnamurthy T.

Print & signage, Petaling Jaya

I was sceptical that an advisory session would give me anything I didn't already know. I was wrong. Azman asked questions that I hadn't thought to ask myself, and the plan we produced together helped me prioritise what to tackle first. The pricing was fair for what we covered.

Serena Wong

Independent HR consultant, KL

What I valued most was that Siti did not tell me what I wanted to hear. She flagged some things in my client acquisition approach that I had been avoiding thinking about. It was not comfortable, but it was necessary. The follow-up review was also genuinely helpful.

Hazwan Bakar

Auto parts shop, Shah Alam

I have been on the Long Evening Programme for about seven months. It has become a useful rhythm — having a monthly session where I can think through what is happening without being rushed. The ongoing plan document is something I actually look at between meetings.

Amelia Chin

Home furnishings, Bangsar

The First Light session gave me more clarity in two hours than I had managed to get in a year of trying to sort things out on my own. I came in feeling overwhelmed. I left with a short list of things to focus on and a clearer sense of which ones actually mattered.

Ravi Maniam

Accounting practice, KL

As someone who advises clients professionally, I was a little self-conscious about seeking advice myself. The process was low-key and comfortable. Azman was clear that the engagement was confidential and that the session was mine to direct. I found that reassuring.

Nurul Razimah — Café Owner, Chow Kit

First Light Review → Reading Lamp Advisory

The Situation

Four years into running her café, Nurul found that the business was busy but not growing. Revenue had plateaued and she was unsure whether the problem was pricing, staffing, location, or something else entirely.

What We Worked On

After the First Light Review identified a pricing gap, Nurul decided to continue with the Reading Lamp Advisory. Together we worked through her cost structure, looked at her most and least profitable items, and developed a revised pricing and menu approach.

What Followed

Within three months of implementing the pricing changes, average transaction value had risen. Nurul noted that she also felt more settled in decisions she makes about the business, because she now has a clearer framework for thinking them through.

HB

Hazwan Bakar — Auto Parts, Shah Alam

Long Evening Programme (ongoing)

The Situation

Hazwan's shop had two locations and a small team. Managing both while handling supplier relationships and customer service was leaving him with little time to think about the direction of the business.

What We Worked On

Monthly sessions covered different topics as they became relevant — supplier terms in one month, staff delegation in another, a potential third location in a third. The shared written plan helped track what had been decided and what was still under consideration.

What Followed

Hazwan decided against the third location after working through the numbers calmly. He credits that decision with freeing up resources he used elsewhere. He has remained on the programme and notes the value of having a consistent outside perspective.

AC

Amelia Chin — Home Furnishings, Bangsar

First Light Review only

The Situation

Amelia was feeling overwhelmed by the number of things that seemed to need attention simultaneously in her home furnishings business. She could not prioritise because everything felt equally urgent.

What We Worked On

The First Light session helped Amelia distinguish between what was genuinely urgent and what simply felt that way. The written reflection noted three areas worth attention and suggested a clear order in which to approach them.

What Followed

Amelia worked through the three areas over the following two months using the written summary as a guide. She chose not to continue to further engagement at that stage, which she was entirely free to do — and noted that the session had given her what she needed.
